(They were offering me an even lower amount but I negotiated, but clearly not enough) .
I took on project management responsibilities in late February since the PM was fired, and also took on more tasks because the other two engineers left. My official job title has changed to Project Manager and Junior Engineer.
I feel I am being overworked and underpaid. I wanted to wait a couple months to produce results and show them what I can do for the company, before I ask for a raise.
All my managers, colleagues and even the president of the company are very happy with me and regularly praise me for my work. I want advice on how much I should ask for the raise, and what points can I bring up to justify my ask.
I work for a small company in Canada and my other colleagues have given me the range of $70,000, but I think that is still low compared to what other companies can pay. I have no intention of leaving the company right now.

Elsewhere go for it, but you aren’t in a strong negotiating point with your current company. Typically one does not renegotiate their salary in a current role. If you move up within the company, you can negotiate a little bit with each move.
