The tech industry in Canada is hiring big time and the overall growth is phenomenal. That heavily depends on your skill set too.
Start networking with individuals in related fields before coming to Canada. If you are proficient in French, you can try out Quebec too.
In the worst case, it could take about 6 months maximum.
I got a remote job offer before moving to Canada - as I was actively searching on LinkedIn. That would be the best-case scenario if you have a good network of people you can reach out to.
Agree - we are building out a team in Canada right now
It's hard to say. Depends on the current job market and the company hiring process. I don't know the demand of your role, but I can share some interview timeline with big tech, consultancies and smaller tech companies:
Amazon: 3 months
PwC: 1 month
Avanade: 1 month
Accenture: 1 month
Wealthsimple: 1 month
RBC: 2 months
Scotiabank: 2 months
Some context: I am a UX designer living in Toronto. Was interviewing for UX design strategist / senior associates / sr. product designer positions. hope this helps.
