If your company offers such benefits would you mind sharing the company name? Any special benefits like surrogate coverage? How many rounds of IVF? Who is the benefit carrying company?

Should you stay in a position that has very limited promotion opportunities because of its org structure? We have a relatively small team of various bands of staff level who report to a Director who has no intentions of adding additional mgt layers (understandably). There is apparently growth opportunities on a IC track, but those don’t seem to be granted as often as management promotions. If I want to grow into a more strategic role overall, what other options should I look into/discuss?

I have been at my company for 3.5 years. One year ago (2.5 years into my employment with them) they re-leveled everyone and I was bumped to an entry level position on the terms that they changed my job title when they re-leveled, so “technically” I am at the early stages of my new title. Even though the job duties did not really change.

Hello! I’m an LMSW in Michigan with 15 years experience in the field doing case management, supervision, and administrative roles. All of my experience has happened in the CMH or VA health system, so needless to say, I am feeling burned out. So I had to get 3 root canals redone. My endodontist is kinda cute … today was my last appointment and he didn’t charge me for the last tooth. He also called me his favorite patient . And called me from his personal cell phone prior to see how I am doing (from the dental work). Am I over thinking ? Is my endodontist trying to sleep with me ? Or did he genuinely forget to charge me ? (I intend to call the office and let them know they didn’t charge me ?For context , I’m a middle eastern female 30

Marital counselling, mental health and therapy (through certified professionals) has been a taboo everywhere, but this is especially true amongst desis - be it in India or desis abroad. However, I’m curious to know how effective or useful it has been for people who have ACTUALLY gone through counselling when going through marital issues, for example. There are many comments recommending it, but are people speaking from personal experience or because it’s been popularised in web series/movies/TV?

thinking of moving to EY M&A Tax based in london, how are the work hours like typically?

Hearing mixed opinions on transferring offices at BCG. I’ll be a summer associate at one of the smaller offices (think Detroit/Philly/NJ), but I spent my whole life in the same state as the office I will join.

I’d like to transfer to a bigger office after my internship (CHI/NY/BOS). I’ve heard that if you’re within the same region, it’s easier. However, my reason for transferring would be to experience a new, bigger city than the one I’ve always been in.

Would I be able to do this post-summer?

I had a fertility assessment appt at Weill Cornell (I’m 36) and they did an ultrasound and blood check but the doc said they didn’t count my follicle counts on ultrasound and they’d do it prior to the start of my egg freezing process. I’m actually not sure yet if i want to do it yet and the reason I went to the doc is to see how’s my fertility right now. Isn’t follicle count check via ultrasound one of main fertility assessments along with AMH?

Another "we are having a baby" day from friends. I used to get very excited for everyones babies but I think its taking a huge toll on me now. Instead of being happy for them I cried. I dont want to feel like this. I actually don't even know what am feeling except for I am sad. I don't want to call them don't want to wish them don't want to do anything but I ll have to put up a brave face and maybe send care baskets or host yet another baby shower
