I have a few questions that I would really appreciate some advice on. 1) How far back should I take my professional experience? Right to the beginning, about 5 - 6 jobs in 20 years, or just some recent ones? 2) Does it help to add skills in there too? 3) Should I mentions any awards I received that are actually from a different industry than what I’m applying to? Hey, I had a job interview yesterday where they asked my salary expectations. I answered, then they said “the position pays X and this is on the higher side”. It was about 7K less than what I wanted. But it sounded like they were very firm with what they offered. I can’t tell if they meant it when they said “this is already on the higher side”. Also, I’m losing my bonus so I asked if they give sign on bonuses. They only give to execs apparently. How do I rebuttal without losing the opportunity?

I wonder, why everyone is not applying for FAANG and they’re happy with startups or other companies? (Not talking about who are not able to clear the interviews )

I am new to Canada and applying jobs via Linkedin / Indeed in IB / Corporate Development / Private equity roles. However, no success so far. Had also gone through 3 rounds of discussion (without any opening) with a leading Canadian Bank. I have a few questions for you.

1. Should i start shooting my resume with cover letter on linkedin profile of IB Directors / VPs / Associates
2. What should be the frequency of follow up with bankers in the bank in which i had discussion already

How do you tell a company that you have upcoming in-person interviews for, that you want to withdraw from the process? Did some more research and it doesn’t sound like a good place to be at.

After you interview for a job is it acceptable to contact your interviewer on Linked in or is that like stalking? I don’t have another contact and I want to follow up with them but I don’t want to be annoying.
