I had applied nearly 50 jobs on naukri but no reply from a single person since last 4 months i shifted to use hirst and indeed.
And did that help?
My experience with naukri has been good.
Make sure you are using appropriate key words in your profile.
Check the job openings of your liking, and check for the common keywords . Use those keywords in your profile. Recruiters usually select the profile on the basis of the keywords.
P.S. networking through LinkedIn and asking for referral is still the most effective method to land an interview
2 days back I created profile on Naukri.com and got 2calls.
Applied in many and got a revert from few relevant jobs which matched my current profile

Yes it helps and many of my friends got placed from that portal
Naukri is best, you have to be really bad to not get any calls. Like folks putting 90 days notice period in naukri shouldn't expect much calls.
But what if the notice period is 3 months? Should we not declare there and inform only when the recruiter calls?
Following.
I have applied in the past and the recuiters reached out to me based on my profile summary. So it is important to keep your profile updated in order to attract recuiters or HR
Yeah. U can use its uses when you are serving notice period.
It's only useful, if u update profile daily, and apply for some jobs and serving notice period..
I believe LinkedIn helps better
It's the best job portal. I got my job and several calls (two to three a day) only from naukri (i know since that's the only platform I used for job search). I finally had to close my profile for calls to stop.
A few tips from my side
1) Keep your headline, key skills, profile updated with latest keywords from job posting that you are looking for
2) login daily without fail
3) Log in to naukri, check mails daily
4) Search for desirable jobs and save alerts
5) Keep applying to jobs, till you start to get relevant job suggestions.
Naukari.com best work when you are on notice period or if you have paid service.
For job search I have use cutshort.com
