I have 6 yrs of HR exp, a PHR cert & an HRIP cert. I recently left my role as an HR Rep at a tech co b/c I was working 60+/week and the stress of the job was affecting my health. I recently received an offer at a new tech co that is $10k less than what I was previously making with comments from current EEs that this new co has a better WLB. Total comp is still a lot less than my prev company. Is less comp too much of a compromise for better WLB? What have you compromised for a better WLB?

I joined a company on 7th Dec. Just got the Laptop on the first day. 12th Dec was my induction day where I was supposed to fill different forms like form 11 ,joining report etc. I resgined on 9th Dec . Today I gave my laptop to the company.
Question is will they be able to open PF account with the help of UAN mentioned in salary slips, Adhar number and pan number that i submitted during offer process?

Did you schedule this call or did your supervisor schedule this call?
Yes. Then that is a very misleading meeting title. Do you still want to have a separate 1 on 1 with your manager? Maybe you can schedule one yourself and you can go over the things you want to talk about.
Schedule another call and remove the ability to forward the invite (if you use Outlook). Add an agenda to the invite. Tell your DM that you have specific topics you expect to cover, as outlined in your invite, so it is important that it is kept to just the two of you.
I'd also recommend looking into courses on Managing Up. LinkedIn, Coursera, and Udemy all have useful materials on that topic. There's also plenty of blog posts and articles on it as well.
Assertiveness comes from a place of confidence and knowledge, and remembering that your co-workers are still just people.
Are you able to be on video for the call? If so, making the 1:1 a video call will help with the impersonal aspect.
Update on situation
Had personal adhoc 1:1 with Pm..(the one that is not the former co-worker)
When I asked if would be reporting to both, only response was
" That's a good question."
I was also advised that coworker that is just promoted will be senior PM.
PM's boss is out, so my gut feeling is that PM is waiting to drop the bomb that I will be reporting to newly promoted coworker ... WHICH is not very good news for me since coworker and I have never seen eye to eye.
Will find out for sure once my boss 's one up returns from vacation.
On the good news front, I may have an offer in hand at a target company...
So now may be the time for me to jump..
🙏😬😬
Maybe they are leaving, and trying to sort things out first? If not, the company would probably be able to keep you under them if that's what it takes to keep you from leaving.
Good luck with the new offer!
(2/2)
(2) questions about some items, but was rude about it.
(3) immediate supervisor didn't state anything, but just sat there.
Bottom line...
I feel betrayed by supervisor, as is not her normal behavior...
Plus, to make matters worse,
This particular coworker may have been promoted to supervisors role, and I may be reporting to her..
As I am writing this, I am still angry and shocked..
How should I handle this
(1) ask my supervisor for a one to one but label it "Actual 1:1" on invite ?
(2) give supervisor benefit of the doubt
Background..
I have been labeled as 'not being assertive enough' in past projects with this team,
So need some advice on how to handle this without my emotions getting in the way.
No need to add the word “actual” but follow up and schedule another meeting and share your thoughts. But do not let your emotions take over. Be tactful and honest.
