I am currently a medical biller and coder that just graduated. I am currently in an entry level position because I am still studying to get certified. I will have a year's work of exp in July and will sign a contract for another year because my boss is training me in more I don't know.

I'm wondering what the pay is for someone in my position without certification. I live with family and want to afford to move out but I am single and only make $18/hr. Is that standard or am I being underpaid?

Anyone made the jump from academic to industry? Low key tired of low pay and being at the mercy of a PI renewing the grant for funding. I feel like a glorified graduate student. what did you like and what did you hate about the jump. Do you regret it? Thanks.

So I've been at a place that doesn't really believe in titles. I've risen the ranks and have been doing ACD work there for almost 3 years (winning pitches, overseeing juniors, etc..) with no promotion because the position doesn't exist.
