Does anyone have insight on the senior tax consultant role at Thomson Reuters? The job description involves providing live training/developing training for tax professionals and aside from traveling to instruct the training sessions, is listed as remote. The job description aligns with my experience and I’m trying to get a general idea of salary expectations and experiences of others that have been in this role.

Hi fishes! I feel so frustrated with kgs! There is no quality work, on-shore managers are really rude and they talk like we are bloody slaves to them. (And they are not Indians), they get pissed off if asked to attend calls in their morning time and expect us to work late nights. Could have still felt better if the work was good, but feels as if I am doing a first year clg students work. I just want to leave this place. But the news of layoffs in the market is making me scared.KGS
Morning from NY. Starting salary ranges from $32-35. Depending if it’s a Union hospital?
No union. I've been at the hospital for 13 years, a tech for 8 and an assistant for 2 and I'm making the low end of your starting rates 😒 I find myself training new people that are making more than me. Have you had any luck with retention bonuses?
Sorry you're going through that! Here are my suggestions. 1) If you haven't yet, schedule a meeting between HR and your team and file a request to have your salaries reevaluated. 2) Find somewhere else in the hospital where similarly skilled employees have been given raises and file a discrimination suit (pretty nuclear option). 3) Walk. IMO, this "overlook" means your work isn't properly values by the new system OR the old one. Time to find a new place that will pay you fairly for your skills, experience, and value.
Thanks for the advice! My whole group is leaning toward the "walk" option! They told us yesterday that our position was reevaluated and that we would not be getting raises... We also recently found out that none of the assistants I work with are making top rate (some have been assistants for 30+ years!) And they cut our on call pay in half! Needless to say, there are a lot of unhappy workers that are actively looking for new jobs!
