Hi All! I'm being considered for a position as a CSM, and the comp package is based on target earning (OTE). I'm a bit ignorant on the subject since I'm accustomed to simple base salary roles. This is more common in sales, so it's unfamiliar territory. That said, I'm unsure what's acceptable. From what I gathered, the standard CSMs operate at a 118% OTE packege, and this role, with larger accounts, would run at 75%. What questions should I be asking?

Can companies sponsor you for GC before you get H1B? I heard that hedge funds do it - right?

Is it a waste of time to try and build a relationship with an AD like Watches of Switz in Hudson Yards NYC if you only buy 1-2x per year and ultimate goal is Rolex Sub or Exp1? Would it make more sense to build that relationship remotely with an AD in a market with less demand?

I recently got rejected from final rounds of BCG (fresh grad). I have an offer from KPMG where I have a good rapport with a few partners but MBB is really where I want to get to.

I am planning to reapply to BCG Nov 2022 after working on my final round feedback. Is it uncommon to the point of being unrealistic to make a switch from KPMG to BCG?

Currently working in auditing and want to switch to consulting. Worked with PwC too (so 2 out of big 4) but my school is not a target for any consulting firms out there.

Any tips on how to break into the consulting industry?

EU: Just started my bar mandated traineeship in a relatively good law firm (also tier 5 Chambers in my areas, not that it matters as much as I've recently realized lol). At the same time finishing an international law LLm, just thesis to go, on comparative corporate law.
