I'm 3.8 years experienced Manual tester with the experience of API and DB basic testing. I'm not having much experience in automation but I am learning.
I got selected in a few companies and wish to have my package to 70-80k per month.
But HR doesn't provide me this hike as from the start my basic pay was low and because of it I still don't get much progress in it

My company has always had SalesForce but it was not really a tool that we used or that anyone looked at. Over the last year my company has put more stress on growth (to be acquired or IPO) and they are now obsessed. I know it is important and necessary and my boss is clearly becoming stressed with our entire team. I work in inside sales selling data center hardware to commercial customers. I have the opportunity to take a new field sales role (w/ same company) selling DC equipment to federal government customers. My concern is that I will be stuck in the Federal space and it will be difficult/impossible to ever pivot back to selling in the commercial space. My longterm vision is to go to sales/sales management at a startup. Think this new role helps, hurts, or makes no diff?
