Hi! Looking for advice on a possible move from LS Consulting to in house. There’s some considerations: I’m a registered lobbyist (so I consult and directly lobby), do not have a JD, have 2.5 years experience working in Big Law as a non lawyer lobbyist, and am looking at a range of companies (Pfizer, Genentech, Regeneron). I’m pending an offer from Visa Inc for a Senior Director role and want to know some guardrails. The recruiter informed me in our very first call that Visa “doesn’t pay cash to bring people on” and alluded to not offering a sign on bonus or RSUs. This is very strange to be competitive in the tech world. Would love to hear input into pushing for both equity and sign on as part of the offer. Thanks!

Looking to get into customer success and having some interviews but never actually get the offer. I have a few years on the support/consulting side at a smaller company and some business development now with SAP.. any advice on how to make something stick or companies to apply to? not sure if there are any recommended certifications or courses that could help me. I only started at PwC a couple of months ago, but I started getting hunted down by Amazon. I just passed my technical interview with them and I am moving on to the loop interview. What I want to know is... does anyone have experience at both? In my head, as a Solutions Architect, Amazon (or any FAANG) is a feather in my cap. That being said, PwC has been great, and seems like a great company. Would you leave PwC for an AWS Solution Architect position?

I have vacation next month and received a job offer. I start to work on new job week after vacation . What happens with my vacation leave ? Should I give more than 2 weeks notice in my current job since on my last week I will be in vacation ? Or they will cancel me my vacation anyway ? I can’t take vacation earlier because everything already planned

How do people deal with being told that their job application isn't being considered further because they don't meet MINIMUM requirements for the job... for a job where they were confidently above the minimum bar.

I know I sound really entitled right now but I guess I'm just surprised and a little shocked... I know I may not be the BEST candidate who applied but to not meet minimum requirements is a complete surprise to me.

Am I an idiot if I choose a job abroad in the Netherlands over a job at home in the US that’s much higher paying? On one hand it’s been my dream to work abroad and I finally found the right company abroad that’ll help my career, but the US option is appealing bc of the money. I guess I’m freaked out that I won’t make that much again after coming home from the NL. Anyone have experience with this?
