Hello!
As a former professional recruiter & HR Project Manager my advice is:
1) identify a target company or companies.
2) go to their career websites and use the keyword search bar to search for specific skills or responsibilities (data analytics, etc.) and click search - your return will bring you every job with that skill / responsibility in the job description (which is more important than the title).
3) Once you start to identify the jobs that have the skills and responsibilities that you want to transition into, it’s time to modify your resume.
4) tailor your resume via bullet points to only highlight your skills and deliverables as they pertain to the job description. Use their key phrases.
5) your resume doesn’t need to be a career recap - it just needs to be jobs relevant to the job you’re transitioning to - with bullets using the descriptions key words to highlight your skills / abilities / deliverables. If a responsibility in the description was for you to develop dashboards, you would want a bullet like: Developed an executive dashboard with tableau to report out on initiative xyz to drive ABC results.
It’s really going to come down to transferable skills and highlighting that you have the skills even if they’re not a requirement in your current job.
Also some industries lean into data more than others - maybe check out quality data analytics and reporting teams in the healthcare space - I used to recruiter people with your skills for that kind of opportunity - and as a PM I interfaced with them frequently - it was a team of statisticians, and data scientists, which sounds like is what you want to do.
If it is something you want to do, I’d target the top 10 health insurance companies in America - follow my tips at the top and go through that process.

Hope that helps!
Thank you!

What is your current career? Try to find the transferable knowledge or skills to help position yourself for one of these roles. An example: I hired someone right out of an analytics program because they had previous retail experience. I work for a retail company, so knowing that they had some basic technical skills paired with industry knowledge makes it easier to take a risk on a hire that will need some investment/teaching.
I’m currently in a very niche group of retirement. It is mostly understanding the legal matters of a person’s pensions and 401(k)/savings plans. Going in, I was expecting an analytical and client-facing role but it is more administrative work than anything. I completed a data analytics certification to show that I am capable and wanting to do more. I know I have what it takes. It’s convincing others that is the hardest part.
