Received an offer to join a consulting firm as a Consultant specializing in Data Analytics and Visualization. TC is $180K. I would work with the big tech clients. My current base barely breaks $160K but the equity brings TC to about $185K however we are still private so not really $185K. I’m not enjoying the current role and am beginning to look for other opportunities internally. I do like the company culture and people. Should I try to stay and accept the lower salary or take a risk and jump?

I have been tasked with finding a good diagnostic tool to assess math skill growth from the beginning of the year to the end of the year for grades 1-8. I've used generic tests in the past, but haven't ever found anything that really did much for me. Doesn't need to be a free item, just good. What do you use and do you like it or not? English is my second language. I learned it 8 years ago and I have been living in the US for the past 5 years. I communicate very well, but sometimes I feel so bad when I don’t, or when I forget an English word in the middle of a design presentation 😣… Sometimes I wake up and my English is not good that day, for realz.
Any other designers who struggle with this? What do you do to feel or do better besides working on your presentation skills?

I started a new job a month ago and I hate it! I hate the culture (there is no culture) the way that they communicate (no meetings everything in slack) and the way that they work (alone) It feels pretty much like I am freelancing and I thrive in collaborative environment. I have never felt this isolated in my whole life. It sucks.
Has anyone been in that situation? If I look for another job, should I remove that experience from my linked in? Or should I talk about that if I get interviews?

But now I got an email from the interviewer asking for live links of apps and websites that are similar to theirs that I have designed before.. I am stuck... should I decline the interview? I don't have much links to send. And the ones I did were confidential and the ones that are not , are already on my website what should I do?

So I’m curious - I was just not included to move forward with a company I was interviewing with because I didn’t have the right look they wanted. This was a full-time salaried position not a freelance project. To me if you’re a good designer you can produce whatever style look they may want, are we now not hiring knowing that? I’ve been in the field 10+ years - am I now not able to ever work for someone unless I have portfolio work in the exact style that they want?

Who has worked with company NDAs in the past? Not Client NDAs, but one that was put forth by the company you work for? To me, it gets real sticky with being able to show work in your book if you have signed an NDA.
