Hello. Curious to see where I stand salary wise in similar industries. I’m a claims specialist for a long-term care/life product, processing claims and communicating with insurers/agents. My salary is $61,600 +overtime availability.

When I started out as a claims specialist, I was making $45k a year and then after some time I switched companies and became an insurance adjuster making $65k a year. I think a lot of it depends on where you live, though.

Your salary sounds solid - especially with the option/ability to work overtime. Only place I've seen pay higher (slightly) was MetLife.

I think this is a pretty solid salary actually, where are you based?

Austin Texas

That is a farily decent salary in this industry. I was aking much less in a similar role about two years ago.

That's a good salary. If you're interested in more, you could consider moving into claims -- but the stress is quite high

Hi. How many years of experience do you have? For me, that's a fair salary.

Colleague has put in his resignation. They are offering him whatever he wants to stay including 4days a week work from home. He’s not bluffing and plans to leave. However, at this same time I was asked to begin working as a supervisor for the engineering team and I would get a promotion at the beginning of the year. I have been supervising and managing our team of 6 for months with no extra pay or bonuses. I was told yesterday that raises will be light this year. Yet today they spare nothing.

I am interviewing for a new IT Manager position. I started putting out soft feelers and then hit the hunt harder. The problem: I have one offer and need to give an answer by next Wednesday. I have two other opportunities that are in final steps but probably won’t have offers by next Wednesday. Both of the other offers will be higher pay but clearly are uncertain for offers. Do I accept the offer I have, which is a good one or wait for the other two to finalize and possibly miss out altogether?
