(1/2)Has anyone ever had their contract end early with no warning? I was hired as an “agile social designer” for a big box retailer as a freelancer. The gig posting said it was a couple months (until the end of june) but when I interviewed they said they were actually gonna extend me until next February. Anyways now they’re saying the whole agile team may be eliminated and I didn’t get any new work assigned this week… I’m kind of freaking out bc I thought I’d at least have until next month.

Not a lawyer specific question, but since many of us have crazy student loan debt thought I’d ask here. Why on earth isn’t there a conversation around the predatory interest rates on student loans? I feel like it would be so easy for the federal government to slash those rates, then people would actually pay back their loans, and it would be so much better for so many. Help ! My 15 MO eats bare minimum in daycare and wakes up at night very 2 to 3 hours with hunger. I initially thought regression but it’s been 2 months and not improving. If I give him water he screams bloody murder until I give him milk in a bottle. On weekends he eats well and sleeps almost 8 hours straight with waking up once. I tried controlled CIO, sleep in bed together and every possible thing but nothing works. Daycare tells they try their best but he doesn’t eat.
