So I have a case study interview coming up with a consultancy.

I have received the task 2 days before the interview which says I have to only spend 25mins on building a high level prototype, also the case study topic is quite hypothetical (like it won't happen in reality).

But I was wondering if anyone has thoughts on approaching it or expectations on the prototype.

Preparing for interviews and having a tough time doing MECE brainstorming and structuring. It’s like my brain goes blank or thinks narrowly. Any tips or suggestions on how to improve? Currently been using Crafting Cases and Rocket Blocks

Hi, I have a situation where I’m not able to take decision. I was in job search so been attending interviews. 3 weeks ago, I got offer from insurance company, so o accepted offer did shared all my docs for H1 transfer(still in progress with USCIS) start date 05/16. And 2 days ago I got another offer from banking client with almost 25k difference of base pay of first client. And benefits from banking client is much better. And they gave start date at 06/27. How do I say this to my first offer?

Im going through something personally where the thought of any online presence creeps me out, so I deleted everything around June... now, i want to start applying to different jobs and was wondering where I should place LinkedIn on my to-do list. Do I have to prioritize it at all?

Hi guys, Its been almost 2 months since my interview happened. I got an email asking me to upload the docs just 2 days after the interview date. The documents are uploaded and also verified on the ibegin portal on 22nd Feb. The HR called later on 11th March for the basic discussion on the salary and since then it shows "evaluation in process", but nothing after that. The HR as usual didnt pick my call.

10-12 days back I had an interview with UBS. I have not received any feedback yet. In UBS portal application is shown as interviews in progress. I tried sending mail to the recruiter asking for feedback but no response. Can I assume I did not clear the interview or interview process takes this much time.

Help help! I’ve just realized I’ve put the wrong date on my resume for the end date of my last office job. I put May 2019 instead of Nov 2019. how bad is that? Obviously it’s bad in the since of attention to detail but since I shorted myself time will most recruiters/employers overlook it? How will it look on a background check? Is it better to call it out during an interview or wait for it to be brought up?

I tried the cost of living calc on nerdwallet and according to that my pre-tax take home of $180k in NJ is equivalent to $380k in Manhattan. If I’m looking at a Director role in the $220-$280 range base, am I taking $100k cut or is the calculator off?

I managed to be hired by a really good company so naturally the impostor syndrome in me is now in full gear. Obviously, I must know things to have been hired, but I feel like there's so much I still don't know about product design. I got here through short courses and some books and articles and faking it till I made it. Designers, have you ever been in a position where you’re pretty much taking the lead on all aspects of the project? I.e writing project briefs, putting together workshops with client, and on top of that you’re the one actually working the outcome of the project? I’m feeling so overwhelmed with a new project that came in and I feel like I’m pretty much the only one doing the work. And on top of that my salary doesn’t reflect the work that I’m doing.

How long off on internship does everyone move on to find new jobs? I’m in my internship for around 6 months now and I don’t know if I should just move on.

As I continue to navigate the waters surrounding my salary and YOE (23), I’m evaluating what I do in my current position. As the only designer, I enforce corporate brand standards for account comms and I do all creative things for the client: review creative briefs, conceptualize art direction (layouts, typography, color, etc) for print and web, prepare files, direct on how to make comms ADA compliant, review newsletters, etc. I don’t have a team, but am I more than a Senior Graphic Designer?

I was reached out on LinkedIn by a design manager for a get-to-know call. I have never done a screening call with a design manager before. I haven’t sent her my resume— She didn’t ask, and I completely forgot.
My resume has my portfolio website and a password, but I kinda want to chat with her before sharing my work, so she can see how passionate I am and I am willing to learn before she sees my work. Is it okay if I don’t share my resume before the screening call? Or omit link to my website?
