About to become a mum in a few days (scheduled c section) and feeling only anxiety about how this will change me as a person and whether I will be able to cope with everything a baby needs me to be for her. I am already tired as my pregnancy was complicated and physically draining and the demanding part has not even started yet! Is this normal? Shouldn't I be happy and looking forward to this? Covid isolation is also not helping as I have been feeling alone in this for months now.
"Virus spread was 62% higher in school districts without mask rules."
Masks make sense. Wearing masks, getting vaccinated, and social distancing can help end this pandemic. Reported by the NEA . Do you support wearing masks? Does your district enforce a mask mandate?
Do you think the AM/HF firms which has strong willingness to hire people aggressively despite this COVID are all credible in that they can keep relatively better performance than competitors during a crisis?
Does anyone have any advice on asking a potential friend out to coffee/brunch/on a walk? I feel like with COVID, it’s been hard to make new friends in the wild and I would like to meet new people now that I’m vaccinated. I have someone in mind and I think we would have a lot in common but I don’t know how not to be awkward about this! Thanks lady 🐠🐡🐟
So vaxxed and boosted people can both catch and spread the virus. Now California court allows lawsuit against employer of a woman who says she caught COVID at work and infected her husband who died. Will we ever going back to the office?
If audit is mainly rolling forward wps, asking the client questions, going to client sites (pre-Covid), and being a required expense, then what is tax?
Recruiters. Question for you. What is the best way to explain a year gap in employment when on recruiting calls? I left my last role and found another a month later but it was cancelled due to COVID-19. I feel like I interview well but know this is a sticking point.
Condolences to the family of the teacher in North Carolina that recently died from Covid. Sadly-she won’t be the last of our profession to die in the “line of duty.”
Recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn about a position I’m very interested in, asked about times I was free and mentioned we should connect early this week. I haven’t heard from her since I gave her availability on Friday, should I reach out again to stay on her radar or give it some more time? Would normally reach out, but don’t want to be pushy in covid times..
My husband and I want to spend the month of august visiting our in laws who live in Europe. We haven’t seen them in 3 years due to COVID and I want my kids to have that time with our family. But… I work in a lawfirm with billable hours. Any advice on how I should pitch this to my bosses??? I would have the ability to work remotely but as a fallback I may ask for a leave and just forgo the pay for that month to actually spend meaningful time with extended family? How can I make my case? Wwyd?
Hey Y'all! Just got my COVID Shot 💉! Feeling fine and happy to be doing a small part to help get us out of this nightmare! If you have genuine concerns about the shot, please reach out!

Been getting huge waves of not wanting to work because I know I’m only in it for the money. Except that doesn’t even feel worth it anymore. Just started a new project that isn’t interesting, but is chargeable. Need some advice from fellow fishes. Oh, to add on, I had a vacation planned for Santorini earlier in April, but was cancelled due to COVID. 😭
With all this free time from losing my job because of Covid, I’ve been working on my book. I’ve been aiming to make my headlines more like the great ones or the 80’s and 90’s rather than the top ad school graduates. Thoughts?
My father passed and I’m positive for Covid. I finished my first week and I don’t have any symptoms. I just have this pain on my chest that I know I have to fight through to get well and feel better. My heart just feels so heavy.
I have subjectively observed that those people who are more afraid of the coronavirus and more in favor of avoiding in person events for that reason also seem to have become less socially adept. In other words, some loss of social skills seems to correlate with 2022 pandemic precautions.
