Travel and tourism PR can be a lot of fun with travel opportunities, unfortunately things are tough now but should be looking up by the summer. You’ll deal with crises such as natural disasters, accidents and the present situation. At the end of the day like everything else work is work and unless you really enjoy travel stay clear. Best of luck!

Definitely agree. My partner was in travel for years and it has been hit haaaaaard. Many connections he’s worked with are unemployed now. But pre-Covid, travel opportunities were amazing — especially when I was able to attend trips!

Super fun. I’ve worked on a variety of travel: destinations, tourism boards, hotels, resorts, airlines, cruises. They’re all pretty diff verticals within travel. Things are super tough right now obviously, but in general there’s less money in travel compared to other industries like CPG or healthcare. I hated working on cruise lines, btw. Loved the rest. The press trips are always great though!
