It’s not more humid than Jersey
Dallas is definitely not dry heat, and it does get pretty humid in the summer months, and when it’s as hot as it is down here you really feel it. Often times it’s not too far off from Houston’s humidity, that’s been my experience after living in both
Dallas is drier than New York City. Based on average yearly humidity it’s also drier than Austin. It’s not that bad in my opinion.
You’ll get used to it trust me. It’s not like you have to shovel snow or something
Silver lining - everywhere you go in TX (city and suburb wise), there’s central AC blasting in the summer/most of the year. I’ve been to NYC, Portland, etc. where they’ve had 100 degree weather and no central AC… and that felt worse than TX summer to me.
Moved from Philly to Dallas - don’t regret it. Except can’t get a good hoagie or cheese steak
Hello! I moved from Jersey to Dallas and it’s definitely not as humid as New Jersey. Also only central air here which is wonderful - no longer have to buy/use an AC unit.
I mean don’t dismiss the fact that the summer heat is REALLY bad
It also doesn’t really cool down at night in Dallas. At least in the northeast, it cools down at night
The humidity is bad for maybe 2-3 months. Then it's just hot.
The hot weather will be a MUCH bigger issue than hunidity
Wasnt that humid these past couple of days I took a flight to check it out
I’m from the northeast- it is not humid and there’s always a breeze. The heat is not nearly as bad as I thought. If you have a pool though that really helps!
