Hello everyone! Does anyone know any companies hiring for insurance experience other than sales or what I should do? I have my license in accident and health insurance but I realized sales aren’t for me. I’m urgently looking, so anything will help. Thanks!

Could you do underwriting with your license? Otherwise, I would buckle down and try to find a lowkey sales position that you don't hate. Or pivot entirely!

The obvious answer if you don’t like sales, go to the service side

smart

You won't need licenses since you'll have to give it up and then you can start making income at 40-45k

Client manager is one I’m familiar with. They are the liaison for the company and the customer for any issues and changes.

Thank you

Try account manager or account associate vs. client services rep or manager. They usually make more, are less on the “hamster wheel” of repetitive work, and get to advance to more higher level work. Client services are the bottom of the ladder, and have to deal with the most problems.

Ok thanks!

If u start back in client services after being licensed and in sales, u might be going backwards. What’s your background in insurance?

Thanks. Not much but sales.

If you can't find a referral here, I would try over on Linked in. I usually have good luck over there! Best of luck to you.

I’m trying to do the same as sales is not my forte. I’m looking for remote or hybrid opportunities.

Operations or a service role in the insurance industry will work tbh

The name for the position?

Hey, another question for y’all. How should I reach out to a recruiter who offered me a full time position but I rejected for a better offer? At the time I was offered the position my main concern was lack of guidance/support from leadership. Now, a year later I have experience being in a role with limited over site (not as scary as I initially thought it would be) and feel confident I would excel in the role I rejected. How would you approach this situation? Thanks in advance!!

Im currently a LTC pharmacist. My hours are consistent (mornings) and I work one weekend a month. Also, the workload is actually not that bad. However, I just got an offer from a hospital as a staff pharmacist. It is a non profit organization so I would be able to get my student loan forgiven after working for 10 years. But schedule is really random and I would have to work every other weekend. Plus, I would get paid less. Should I just stay?

I have an offer on the table from a competitor and I’m struggling with a decision. My boss and I get along great and I’m extremely valued, but not seeing any growth opportunity in the future. Same boss is also not kind to most of the team and can be toxic. What they’ve told me regarding growth would be sales (in other words, relying on others), and nothing is being sold. Naturally, the competitor is raving about the growth opportunities. Does anyone have a similar experience or advice?

Hi all! Is anyone here in Underwriting? Just want some thoughts on this as i’ve recently gotten an offer for an Underwriting Associate position and have never done any salary negotiations before. Does it seem unrealistic for my counter offer to be 12k more than the original offer? Considering that the original offer is roughly 8k less than the market salary. Plus i’m also accounting for wiggle room as i’m not expecting them to actually agree with the full 12k counter offer

I’ve had one interview with Liberty Mutual and it went great. I’m nervous to start something new and scheduled. How did you transition?
