Has anyone worked on a presidential campaign? I noticed a lot of the democratic candidates are hiring for digital / communication positions and I’m debating making the switch!
Hey, another question for y’all. How should I reach out to a recruiter who offered me a full time position but I rejected for a better offer? At the time I was offered the position my main concern was lack of guidance/support from leadership. Now, a year later I have experience being in a role with limited over site (not as scary as I initially thought it would be) and feel confident I would excel in the role I rejected. How would you approach this situation? Thanks in advance!!
I’m currently interviewing for a Digital Marketing Manager position at PGIM and the max base salary they’re willing to offer is $130,000. Seems a bit low to me. I currently live in NYC and have 6 YOE in Marketing. Office is in Newark, NJ. Is this the norm?

Would you take a paycut to work at a hospital?
Im currently a LTC pharmacist. My hours are consistent (mornings) and I work one weekend a month. Also, the workload is actually not that bad. However, I just got an offer from a hospital as a staff pharmacist. It is a non profit organization so I would be able to get my student loan forgiven after working for 10 years. But schedule is really random and I would have to work every other weekend. Plus, I would get paid less. Should I just stay?

Alvarez & Marsal How does comp work at Alvarez & Marsal? I know bonus is based on utilization / collections, but how does that really work when you're executing against a SOW with a certain amount of hours budgeted. If I'm only budgeted at 70%, how do you increase your utilization to increase your bonus.

Trying to figure out the salary range for a P&C Account Manager - anyone willing to share? I’m in Northern CA, Bay Area and base is $72k w/ 5 years experience, but feeling underpaid.
Accepted what I thought was my dream role. It's unorganized, training is subpar and its very frustrating. Its a few months in and I'm over it. I have a side biz but due to my new role i have to put that in the back burner (at least until i learn to do this job efficiently). I really wanna quit and go to work for myself but I know that this is not possible at the moment. Has anyone else Accepted role that they thought was a good fit bit now are questioning their decision a few months in?
I currently work in Marketing for a residential construction company. One of my main responsibilities is networking with realtors & lenders (planning events, coordinating office presentations, etc.) in order to network with them so they will bring their clients to our sales team. I’ve realized I can make a lot more money working in insurance as an insurance broker focused on realtors & lenders. I would love to hear the good, the bad, the ugly, of working in insurance + any tips you can share!

I currently in the first round of interviews to become a BA at Geico Can anyone tell me what the culture is like there? I am particularly interested in learning more about the work-life balance.
I have an offer on the table from a competitor and I’m struggling with a decision. My boss and I get along great and I’m extremely valued, but not seeing any growth opportunity in the future. Same boss is also not kind to most of the team and can be toxic. What they’ve told me regarding growth would be sales (in other words, relying on others), and nothing is being sold. Naturally, the competitor is raving about the growth opportunities. Does anyone have a similar experience or advice?
Does anyone in this group have experience working with Liberty Mutual or Farmers? I currently have my life license but I’m considering getting licensed in P&C also. I’m exploring opportunities with these companies.
Hi all! Is anyone here in Underwriting? Just want some thoughts on this as i’ve recently gotten an offer for an Underwriting Associate position and have never done any salary negotiations before. Does it seem unrealistic for my counter offer to be 12k more than the original offer? Considering that the original offer is roughly 8k less than the market salary. Plus i’m also accounting for wiggle room as i’m not expecting them to actually agree with the full 12k counter offer
Hi! This is my first post, but I'm really looking for advice. My manager is wonderful and just got a new position in our company. He's been telling me to go for his management position once he moves on. I finally decided I wanted to go for it. I have a wonderful reputation in my company, won their highest award, and practically do his job already. I just found out my manager is pushing someone else on our team. How do I get this job?

Hi everyone! I work in personal lines and I’m looking to start selling more life insurance. I want to start with cross selling to those in our book of business. Does anyone have tips that they’ve found successful in starting the conversation? Term/perm convos etc? I’ve read up on our products and my boss doesn’t really train on this and it’s more of a figure it out yourself approach he takes so any tips would be appreciated.
Hi ladies, I’m so nervous. For the last almost 5 years, I have worked in P&C. I LOVE the company, but I’m extremely bored with my current role now that my department has been cleaned up. Honestly, there’s no other position or higher role I could take, and I’m fine with that. I’m not leaving and can work PRN. I want to buy a house, but can’t with this pay alone. I’ve had one interview with Liberty Mutual and it went great. I’m nervous to start something new and scheduled. How did you transition?
Could you do underwriting with your license? Otherwise, I would buckle down and try to find a lowkey sales position that you don't hate. Or pivot entirely!
The obvious answer if you don’t like sales, go to the service side
You won't need licenses since you'll have to give it up and then you can start making income at 40-45k
Many companies hiring for P&C positions in AZ.
Oh dang. I’m in GA
Client manager is one I’m familiar with. They are the liaison for the company and the customer for any issues and changes.
Try account manager or account associate vs. client services rep or manager. They usually make more, are less on the “hamster wheel” of repetitive work, and get to advance to more higher level work. Client services are the bottom of the ladder, and have to deal with the most problems.
If u start back in client services after being licensed and in sales, u might be going backwards. What’s your background in insurance?
Thanks. Not much but sales.
If you can't find a referral here, I would try over on Linked in. I usually have good luck over there! Best of luck to you.
Hi there - send me a DM. I'd love to discuss opportunities that may exist for you in the benefits practice line!
I’m trying to do the same as sales is not my forte. I’m looking for remote or hybrid opportunities.
Operations or a service role in the insurance industry will work tbh
