Just started in-house and my days are full of meetings with little time in between to analyze or process anything. Is this typical? I keep taking lots of notes but haven’t had a chance to really review and reflect on my notes, to follow up and investigate or do any strategic or legal analysis. Lots of on the fly work for now. Maybe it’s like this just the first few days where I’m getting the lay of the land? But I suspect it’ll be like this for a while… Any tips appreciated.

Thinking of turning down a Google offer. 15 YO overall (5 year PgM exp), been a TVC at Google for 2 years doing the role I interviewed for (no direct conversation anymore, so I went though the full interview process). I got leveled at L4 (guessing interviews didn’t go that well) and the comp has been a bit underwhelming. WDYT fishes? Base - 155k, Equity: 132k, bonus: 15%, Bay Area, PgM role Down-leveled when I first joined consulting because I didn’t go to b-school and happens a lot. Sigh.

So md appears to like me more than my director. Doesn't want director in meetings. They're not copied on important emails...they want me to continue in my role, but how do I stay out of the politics?

Hey mommas - My baby is 14 weeks old and I haven't gotten my period back yet. I'm worried I'm pregnant again. When did you get your period back? For context, I'm breastfeeding but not exclusively (I am pumping and nursing as much as I can though). I've been on the pill since 6 weeks and my husband used condoms for the first few weeks once we started again. Surprisingly, I can't find anything online that's helpful. Any sense of a timeframe would be tremendously anxiety-reducing!

Just read an article about how the first doses of the vaccine will be doled out. Am I the only one who is really heartened by the global response to COVID-19? Sure, the US and other countries led by conservative despots bungled it, but, on the whole humanity came together, wore masks, hunkered down, made a vaccine in record time. These actions were largely motivated by fear but also compassion for vulnerable people. I mean, we did it y’all!

I have an interview with Google tomorrow!!! Raised on food stamps, went to college on a Pell grant, first in my fam to get a masters, first in my fam to make 100k, and now have an interview at my dream company! I know it's not an offer or anything but dang. I'm so excited and lucky to be where I am! Thankful for all you lovely people and for consulting!
