Hi fishes. Is it a fact that PWC payscale is relatively low compared to other Big4s?

I have been approached by PwC HRs twice in last 2 months, both times they did not even shortlist me stating that my expected CTC is high.

My profile:
YoE =6.5yrs + 2yrs tier2-MBA
CCTC=16.5
Expected CTC= 1.4x

2nd time they approached, I even brought down my exp CTC to 1.3x. Still they said PwC does not have budget.

I already have offer of 1.45x from another Big4. Its only PwC that is not budging. :(

So I’m applying for MBA and will hopefully graduate at 26 with a degree. Lookin to find the best way possible to make my way to some sort of buy side role. I’m currently in low sized real estate PE in my hometown and I’d like to get out lol. Only problem is that my undergrad GPA sucks so an excellent or even great grad school might be out of the question. Was thinking maybe do concentration in acct and then move to FO after maybe like 2 years of an acct gig? Maybe CFA too? Is this realistic?

Hi ladies! I feel I am ready to find a more managerial role: manager, supervisor, director, etc. I usually take positions I am over qualified for, which leaves me underpaid and not very challenged. However, I think not having previous manager experience holds me back as well. How does someone get manager roles without having manager experience? Someone has to yes in order to gain it, right?! Is there a way to phrase answers in an interview to get the positions?

I’m in talks with management about being a candidate for a new position, Project Manager. This would be a promotion for me; however, a member of my team indicated the company may not want to increase compensation for this role even though I would have more responsibilities. It was even stated that “They may even want to fire people who asked for more money.” I am staggered. Do you advice for me? Should I look elsewhere? Any referrals? How can I encourage my boyfriend to be better with grooming? My partner is late 30s and is clean, but he doesn’t take care of his grooming sufficiently. Teeth: doesn’t use an electric toothbrush or floss, Skin: won’t use skincare or sunscreen, Feet: gnarly toenails, Hair: thinning and he’s sad about it but seems resigned to it instead of trying topical treatments, Ears: doesn’t qtip so they look gross. He’s otherwise handsome and takes care of himself with healthy eating and exercise.

at my current company when we have to prepare decks for like board meetings, c suite meetings etc, we will be updating slides until like the minute before it gets presented and it drives me insane. boss never knows what he wants to show so there will be iterations of a presentation for months and then he’ll completely change his mind the night before. Is this normal? I feel like it makes everything so much more stressful than it needs to be
