I’m a first year associate and I hate it. I regret choosing biglaw so much. It’s not so much the hours even, but the content of what I do (HCPE) feels wrong to me, and the amount of time I spend working on non-billable projects just to be yelled at for not billing crazy numbers. I want to get out, but I don’t even know what my exit options would be this early on - I want to be done with private practice forever. Am I just stuck until I have more experience?

Well here is a new issue I am troubleshooting today. We have an ADA reasonable accommodation request for gluten free cookies at the reception after the holiday talent show for an employee with celiac disease. I think we might be required to grant this request. Employee has the same right to access the benefits of employment with us as everyone else - here that benefit would be baked goods at the reception. I suppose celiac impairs a major life function - eating, and is a disability. Thoughts?

Hi fishbowlers, all my life, I’ve been terrible at negotiating my salary. I’d love some tips to help me negotiate from a position of strength. The company is growing rapidly. I’m in a PM role building custom homes. The projects I’m handling are fairly substantial, up to 20,000 square foot homes. I handle all the pre-construction and construction phases, handover and maintenance for the homes completed.

I work at a public tech company and have been here for ~6 months. I execute SaaS implementations/deployments. Our products are not up to par w/ customer expectations. The Chief Product Officer has decided that the deployments teams will be conducting additional gap analysis to understand product requirements more completely.

What is a responsible salary to ask for as a dietitian in the greater Seattle area? Most jobs are offering 70-75,000$ and although that is a good salary I can’t afford to live around Seattle if I accept that.
