A HR question I really want to understand. ISRS HR quoted a podcast "The not so great resignation" saying 70% regret leaving and many want to go back to old employer. If this really the case the employee likely left due to higher pay at the new company. If they want to boomerang back they will likely come back at even a higher rate than they left the new company for. So getting double raise when they boomeranged. Isn't it unbeneficial, why not just give employee a 7% raise in the first place?

I see the free weekend night certificate with a 2 night paid stay, but it seems you have to book an inflated rate for those 2 nights. Is it worth me getting Ambassador (and keeping Diamond) if I only have 5-10 planned nights at Intercontinental in 2023? Not very familiar with IHG to clearly decide.

I am currently working in big4 audit as a manager (20 LPA CTC), my wife is in a tax role in diff big 4, same CTC.

We have a Canada PR but are not getting jobs from here so will have to go there and apply. Average salary will be around CAD 80000-85000.

I have a job offer in NZ for 85000 NZD. My wife will be able to work, but will have to go there and find a job.

We are confused what to do, as she feels it will be harder to get a tax job in NZ. Looking for any advice.
