PSA: I had a horrible experience applying for a job at Devoted Health. Applied online and then got asked to schedule a phone interview. On the day of the interview, I waited 20 min and nothing happened. I emailed the HR rep, he didn’t acknowledge or apologize and just told me to reschedule so I did. Insurance defense litigation is basically just being yelled at and micromanaged by EVERYONE: plaintiffs counsel, managing partner, co defendants, courts, adjusters, excess carrier, excess counsel, GCs that know nothing about litigation, judges, clerks. YOU NAME IT.

What is the average public health nurse making per hour in your city?

I have been with my company for almost 8 years. I wasn’t certified when I started but I have been now for about a year. It wasn’t required before. I learned that my coworker who has been with us less than a year and had no prior experience in healthcare makes very close to the same amount I do. My boss says our rates are based on our experience which is clearly not true. One of our none clinical members who left was making the same as me. Does this seem right to you guys?
