Hello everyone. I work for a tech company but I’m the finance field. Was wondering if any of you out there knew how I could go about taking an app idea and bringing it to life. I would consider myself fairly technical, but not advanced by any means. I know there are several developers out there who could help. Any suggestions?

Your other option is to invest your own money and contract a developer to get this work done. (Look at UpWork) This course of action would require you to define every aspect (and with very granular detail) of how the app should work. Well thought out Requirements and Specifications are your friend

Everybody has an idea for an app. Nobody wants to code it

You become advanced by building stuff. Just start building it

Truly think about these questions you are asking me before you post. Obviously have come to the wrong place for any sort of advice or positive feedback.

You may not see it that way. But I'm trying to help you. I'm challenging you in the same ways the business world will challenge you. Asking the same questions potential partners will be asking. Best of luck

Depending on the idea you can use a no code app development platform. I work at Thunkable so shameless plug but there are a bunch out there that can get you over the finish line.

Yes, this! I think it's the best thing to happen to tech. Makes it so much more accessible.

Thanks for that! Greatly appreciate this feedback. I will look into that 👍🏼

What's the idea?

Do help me. Thank you

I am working since a year in my first job and I don't feel like I'm getting to learn much here or see any opportunities for growth. I am thinking about learning Salesforce development and applying for specific Salesforce jobs.

Which of the two has better scope in the future, java development or Salesforce?
Any advice is appreciated.

How much to include in your resume?? So I’m 44 y/o and have been actively working with no “gaps” since I was 18. My resume is packed but I feel it may be too much and it feels dated. I want to freshen it up as I’m considering a change. Should I go back 10yrs and leave it at that? Should I simplify the resume? It’s a fine line between easier to read and watered down. Thanks your input!!

More of a gut check than anything but I’ve noticed a trend. People say they want to work in tech, but what they really mean is they want to work at Google, Microsoft, or AWS.
