Vendor employee means I work for Amazon but my main employer is another one who takes care of PF, Payment and all.

Are there any firms out there that actually let you take all your PTO? I hate that we have to make up our PTO to meet utilization targets. Been on a capped 40-hour project for the last two years and it’s had a terrible effect on my utilization.

I work at an agency that prides itself on doing the right thing and partnering with clients to figure out a problem.

We have a client that is typically less-than-engaged but on a retainer. When she's eager and engaged, she takes up a lot of time... a lot of time that takes away from others in her org.

Is it typical to credit a client on retainer for unused hours i.e. work more because they were unresponsive.

I understand the principle, but it makes it hard to service other clients.

Planning on resigning from my current role at the end of the week and giving two weeks notice. Does anyone know protocol on notice, if the employer decides to terminate me immediately am I still eligible to claim wages on those two weeks? (Not moving to a competitor if that’s relevant)

Looking for some opinions. Partner 1 works remotely, partner 2 works as a nanny for a family that is presently working from home as well.
Partner 2 has been asked to go to Hawaii for two weeks with the family as they want childcare.
Partner 2 is concerned that it would be seen as unprofessional to ask if partner 1 come out for a few days as well.

It's been 4month with the team with no manager. I recently joined the organization and the team I am part of is headed by a lead and one analyst.
So being a new member as Sr.Data Analyst I sometimes have to report to analyst. Considering the fact that he has been part of the team for past 1 year and sometimes he sounds like lead as he is leading some project.
On other hand my manager is continuously asking me take lead in project and try to reduce dependency on that analyst.
