Hello everyone!
I’m seeking advise from fishers. My brother in law is going to university next year. He was engineering (which is one of the worse decisions someone can do from my experience LOOL). I told him if anything he should do managment engineering which he got accepted to. He also got accepted to Mcmaster- information management systems. Which in my opinion you get a bit of everything! And this degree is picking up a lot of traction’s across tech. More thoughts in the comments

From what I noticed. People that do information management system and be cloud, salesforce, azure certified are much better than engineers (especially in tech consulting). You might have a different opinion because you been working for a longer time and seen different aspects.

For those that are not familiar with Managment engineering, it’s business and engineering concepts

While information management system is business and technology

🤖 Where is TCS HR ?

I observed No involvement of HR in screening call & scheduling technical interview

Is it common with TCS process ?

#1 Got 1st call from project manager (instead of hr) and he is interested to know compensation part.

#2 Got 2nd call for technical interview without scheduling interview.

I was uncomfortable as in 1st call to discuss compensation with project manager ( no authentication, is he really manager).

On the spot technical interview 😁

Input please

I’ve been considering to stop pursuing the CPA certification and instead wanted to focus around more IT driven certifications like CISSP. I already have my CISA. I’m just not as committed to the accounting world as I used to be making it hard to study and put my full effort into the CPA. Has anyone ever felt the same that it was best to change paths if your not truly committed to the long road of the CPA?
