I just got a new remote position starting July 5. I just got an email stating that they are having a company sponsored meet on July 5 and if interested they would fly me out to meet everyone. What are the key components of your performance review process? The data points we currently use are manager and self scoring of a scorecard for each employee (scorecard outlines mission for the position, outcomes, and competencies) as well as peer feedback based on the competencies of the position (thought being a manager only has so much insight to a person’s day to day, especially in a matrix org). Trying to lower housing costs / find housing that is affordable to me in the longterm by buying multi family FHA and using the rental income to cover the majority of the mortgage while living in one unit, but FHA appraisals always ruin the deal (rental income comes in too low). Not sure what to do anymore bc every multi family house in my city has this issue. Is it mad to be considering new jobs that pay less than what I'm on currently? I'm in a fairly senior role at a business which is undergoing an M&A / future IPO but being honest our team is vastly under resourced and the stress of covering what is essentially 3 senior roles in one, plus all the day to day stuff (as we have no juniors to delegate too) is burning me out and really affecting my mental health. I've tried raising it but don't feel anything will change soon unfortunately.

How do you deal with coworkers in your practice who don’t have direct knowledge of what you do (either on your engagement but in different workstreams or others who are not on your engagement) interpreting your ambition as back-stabbing and self-serving? How do you change their perceptions? My upper management loves me but a lot of my coworkers don’t and even though at the end of the day it won’t affect my reviews, I still have to work with these people for at least the next 6 months.

Struggling with something - have accepted a new position which required a backfill to current position. Was not part of the selection team nor was asked opinion of candidates. The individual chosen will be toxic to team - have already been told of several who now plan to leave. Starting to regret new position knowing that the team I built & was running so well is going to implode. Any thoughts??
