Deloitte fishes on H1B- if you’re working from a remote location (50 miles away from your home office), do you submit that jurisdiction on DTE? If yes, wouldn’t that need an amendment? If no, wouldn’t uncle D find out and be upset?

Hi! I’m moving to LA in a couple months and have found a few buildings in Beverly Grove right across from the Beverly Center that I like. Is this a good area? My job is 100% remote and my priority is just being close to shopping, restaurants and bars in a safe area (single F).

I got accepted into UPenn’s MCIT online program. Currently unemployed (6 months) and actively interviewing for PM roles. Approved by doctor/HR to remain remote and it’s not going over well( we were told we would remain remote, which included giving up our desks, but are now being asked to come in two days). The person who seemed the most annoyed by my request is my direct boss. I found it odd because she announced she was only doing one day because she was pregnant and the director was basically like “ok”. I don’t want to put a target on my back and I do enjoy the work. Should I just bite the bullet and come in?

Wondering what others are doing for WFH requests for folks who claim weakened immune systems / exposure to covid as reason they need to work from home full time. (Asking legally, not what personal opinions are.) We have been following doctors’ orders if they check “required” on the medical form, but EEO staff is now asking me if they should push back because “community spread” is low. The EEOC suggests all requests be granted. Any middle ground?

KPMG EA’s are comp conversations something to be excited about?

Anyone in here have general anxiety disorder and/or agoraphobia? I started having symptoms at the beginning of the pandemic 😞 I used to LOVE being in the office although I had the option to work remotely. Then I literally couldn’t be anywhere outside of my bedroom let alone my house. I’ve come a long way with therapy and meds and I’m trying to convince myself that I can look for on-site EA roles but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t scared.

EA's - what are some not traditional titles you have seen in your company or others for EA's and Admin Assistants?

What would you do? I was recently reached out to by an exec I worked for at another agency. He’s at a new agency and looking for an EA to assist him, the new president and another exec. However the agency itself is not doing well- no new biz wins, big layoffs recently, terrible reviews on Glassdoor. I like my current agency enough, however, very much don’t like the 2 execs I assist. Would you go rather work for good execs at a bad agency? Or stay at a decent agency but awful execs?

(Context - trying to decide what title to recommend for EAs in our org who now manage people. Currently, we have multiple levels, but all EAs have the "Executive Assistant" title regardless of seniority / level / manager status.)

Am an executive assistant and There is one executive I support who is very annoying. He doesn't behave this way with backup admin assistants when am out of the office
