I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.
I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.
Any advice or similar experience?
Is an MBA really worth it for a career pivot?
Would love to hear about your gardening leave experience, especially in the event production sector, i.e. Gartner, Forrester, etc. I’m planning my resignation and I’m unsure if I should plan my next endeavor around it. I plan to continue my career in event production but as an in-house producer for a solution provider, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Behavioral Health is huge. Why not look for HR roles in counseling centers or hospitals with behavioral health needs. I am sure your expertise could lend itself to recruitment.
That’s a great idea. I appreciate the input!
I would honestly look within apple, I know it’s hard to move into corporate, but trust me it’s a very good company! It’s worth a shot at least. Talk to your manager, build relationships.
I worked there for 3 years, and have now moved on into the oil and gas world because that’s what I studied, but til this day I think about what a great company apple really was and also the people! I think they also have those internship things for retail workers in HR? I forget what it’s called, but apply for those.
That being said, focus on your transferable skills. Showcase those in your resume, and network network network and put yourself out there. I used to hate hearing those words when I was in your shoes, but that really is what worked and works!
