Does your son study for school at all now? Not a bash, I didn’t have to study much in high school, so I had to learn those skills in college. When studying solo for standardized tests, I always found making flash cards really helpful as well as finding something that offers a bank of test questions. I bet they have some subscription based question databases that you could sign up for. Flash cards and drilling questions have always worked for me. One other option… I took the SAT, not ACT, and my high school offered a PSAT class over the summer. I did great on the PSAT and ended up doing well on the SAT without any additional studying. Maybe consider looking for a class that offers a structured program so he isn’t having to study all on your own?

No, he doesn't study now, like me, doesn't really have to until college. Yes, flash cards worked great for me....maybe have him make his own. I didn't think about a prep course, that's a good idea.

How do you divide your time between your kids? My second is an extra needy and demanding, high spirited kid. My first is laidback and easy going. I always feel like the eldest gets the short end of the stick and never gets enough of my attention even tho she’s always been more attached to me than my husband. She never gets one-on-one time with me as it is since her sister (now 2) is still super glued to my side. Any suggestions for juggling this? Or to ease the mom guilt?

Holle hypoallergenic (EU brands - that promise organic and better quality ingredients) Goes without saying EU brands are expensive. But willing to pay if the ingredients are really better for my child Did any other mummas go through a similar journey. What did you pick and why?

Anyone come back from maternity leave during busy season? I come back early February and worried about getting no sleep between working and baby. My baby currently doesn’t go to sleep without a lot of rocking/nursing, etc and this is usually around 10PM. My 2yo is asleep by 8PM, so I used to just start working at that point.

Ever since we had our first child, I have come to realize that I’ve been in an abusive relationship. She verbally abuses me and there were also times where I was physically hurt. Her reactions and emotions are so extreme, she estranged me several times and for several months for the smallest disagreements. I’m thinking to file for a divorce but really feel like giving it sometime to heal over the damage first and then figure out the logistics.

Hi everyone. Not sure this post falls into the right category but here it goes: I have been talking to two agencies who are interested in my work. One already made an offer. The other has not yet, but we are in a second round of interviews. My question: is it appropriate to bring the fact that I have already an offer from an agency 1 when talking to agency 2? I am very interested in the second agency but I’d like them to know that I can’t wait too long. Thoughts?

I am a slowly losing my mind. I try to do my absolute best in all that I do, I work more than 40 hours a week with no complaining or expectation of anything, but I feel like my career has been spent getting kicked off the “ladder” just when I start to climb because I cannot always be “powered on” by 8:00 A.M. but I am the one that prefers salary because I don’t have to ask for overtime when I have a deadline or heavy workload and work until 2:00 A.M.

Serious question. I constantly see income reports published that indicate only ~5% of the US population make over $250k, ~1% over $500k, etc. Is this actual W2 reported income? Do corporations have ways to compensate individuals so that their total comp does NOT show on their W2 (RSUs, Deferred Compensation, etc.)? Reason I ask is because I see great wealth all around me. I feel like these reports do not always tell the whole story in terms of TC & investment income.
