We are re-starting our women’s networking group at our media/tech company after a 2 year hiatus and are working on a new mission statement and purpose to be more inclusive and better reflect the times. For example, previously, only women were allowed to join the group. We’d now like to expand our membership to anyone who identifies as woman or who are allies. Background: 33yo, sperm donor, blood work showing diminished ovarian res.

After my first round of blood work Dr is recommending IVF. My partner and I were really hoping to go the IUI route. I’m really only looking to have one child (or rather one full term pregnancy regardless of how many pop out that time). As of right now we aren’t seeing other concerns in my body just the low egg count.

My therapist just told me I'm depressed..do you ever feel like they tell you things you hear a lot or could have figured out on your own? Like take care of yourself, it's ok to feel such and such, etc. I'm still newer to therapy so wondering if that's the common experience? Is anyone out there fairly happy with their role/firm? I’m considering moving to tax from audit because I’m much more interested in tax and feel it provides more value but it sounds like the hours can be even worse so I’m hesitant.

Do you feel like you make what you deserve for your position, skills & experience? If not, what should you be making? For the first time I feel like I'm being paid what I deserve and it's been seriously eye opening. Realizing I took too much crap from other firms.

My current role is my first "real job" and I have my first annual review with HR coming up. These kinds of things make me beyond nervous. What can I expect?

For those of you that work from home, is there any amount of money that would get you to come back to the office full time?

I’m a new senior manager. I helped refer a manager I used to work with at an old job here. I had to step away in a client call and told him that I am stepping away, if anything happens let me know. Towards the end of the call the client asked about my teams work, and the status. And then complained about delay. The partner stepped in saying there is no delay. This manager, remained completely silent, and did not tell me anything happened at all once I came back.

I love my career, but it's not the only thing in the world that matters to me. My direct supervisor has been trying to schedule meetings with me well after normal working hours... like at 7/8 p.m. My personal life deserves to be a priority too, so I've been saying no, but it's obviously viewed as a lack of caring. How should I handle this?

I landed a new role a couple of months ago. I feel like I'm doing okay workwise, but I'm the only woman at my firm and the lack of real social connection is wearing on me. The men are nice enough, but I never feel like I'm actually part of the team or can connect with anyone there. Any advice?

Our firm just switched systems and I am not having a good time. Instead of using a scanning tool to import data, we have to manually input it all. I’ve been struggling with this big time as my data entry skills just aren’t there. Any advice on getting better at it in a hurry?

What are you all wearing when you go into the office these days? We're hybrid and unless we're working with a client, there's no real dress code in place. So many of my female coworkers are all in atheleisure, but I'm not sure I'm comfortable in that level of casual wear.
