Hello fish friends, I am starting over and I am looking for some financial/investing advice*.

Living in DC area, no kids, married, town house, no mortgages, no loans, no legacies.
I would like to know where to start, how to start,is a financial advisor a good option?
What opportunities do I have when I think for the next 15 years. I am not interested in 401k per se as I want the freedom of having access to the money/assets before 60. Any fast track opportunities? 😃

You’re better off finding a licensed advisor who can help with getting a big picture from you and help you plan it out. Plenty of FAs out there that will do a holistic financial plan for you. Please don’t go with anyone that offers crypto

like

VP1 yes I saw it, but had no time to reply during the day.
I agree with you ...although a few single percentage points for some risky investments could be a surprising fun, too! Haha...

I like the way VP1 thinks, I would go for a FA and work out some short-term and medium-term goals. Maybe you can do some fun startup investing!

Find a good Financial advisor (looking for a CFP is a plus!) and ask them to help you with a financial plan. Most companies will do one complementary if they believe that you will invest with them.

Guys thank you, for your answers!
I understand it might sound weird and/or funny for some people but if I explained my entire story behind my current situation I would need to write a book 😃.
Since I am here in the US I feel I need to do something in terms of financial investments ...I have been doing research and have an idea and working on the big picture. Will definitely take the FA into account as you suggested and will try to ask the right questions ;-).

I totally agree with the comments above about getting a licensed financial advisor. I'd say that it is a must if you want to start a financial/investing career. Good uck, OP!

I realized a slow pace at work is really bad for me. A couple years ago I was experiencing burn out from my fast paced job supporting transactions, and believed by moving to a slower job in a lower cost area, I would be sailing off to the sunset. Wrong, I spend weeks following up with other teams, often times they forgot what we discussed, so I spent 50% if the time reminding them of the topics and next steps. I spend most of my time writing memos no one will read.
