2.5 YOE, 6.2 LPA Mainframe, recently got an offer from TCS for Mainframe Developer position with 7.5Lpa. My project Director called me and willing to match the salary here in Cognizant. He said i will be eligible for yearly hike as well.

Please suggest if truly I will be eligible for yearly hike after being retained and is it good to stay overall.

P.S - TCS gave 7.5 on top of 5.1 LPA, 6.2 is what i got recently in April promotion for Associate.

Doing a remote interview tomorrow for an in-house position that I really want. Invite says "[company] is a startup, so a full suit is not necessary! Business casual attire is recommended." Like I said, I really want this job, and the idea of not wearing a suit is just weird to me

Should I still wear the suit or would it be counter productive?

I got selected for BA role in IBM on 12 May. I sent documents to HR on 13 May. I received a mail from IBM saying my candidature is in BGC. It's been a week since BGC. I checked with the recruiting HR they aske me to wait for few days. When will I receive offer letter?

Foreign-trained CPA looking to eventually get a tax position in the midwest or south US (MO, AR, TX). I have acceptance letters to study for the online MTax at Denver and online MSL at Boston and NYU with the latter being most expensive.

This is all out of my own pocket. Does the NYU name on the resume justify the higher price tag of that degree? Anything else I should consider when deciding between these options? Thanks

I am an HR “Manager” with 8+ years experience. Bachelors in HR and a SHRM-CP cert. Currently employed at a manufacturing facility w/ 80 employees in Metro Detroit, Michigan (Macomb Twp). I am a department of one with no direct reports under me. I feel as though my role is more of a “generalist” position as my duties are more aligned with that. I am currently at $75k and promised to be increased to $82k in the next month. Bonuses are discretionary and never the same amount. Fairly compensated?

Hi fishes🙂 👋🏻 I got an offer from Larsen & Toubro Infotech today for the position of 365 Functional Consultant.
But the designation offered is 'Senior Engineer - Cloud Services and Software' whereas in PwC my designation: 'Technology Consultant' & designation of offer in hand(IBM) :'Advisory Consultant'.
So will IBM consider my Larsen & Toubro Infotech offer as a counter offer?
My fear is whether they will say 'you r offered a different role hence we cant consider'.Will it matter that much?

I’m taking the SPHR in less than 2 months and haven’t started studying for it. How difficult is it? I’ve been in HR for 20 years and have experienced ALOT in that time, although there are always employee relations scenarios that surprise me! How much do I really need to study for this? This question is going to be annoying maybe. I am currently interviewing for CSM roles. I know I am good at what I do and my customer satisfaction and renewal rates definitely show that!
However, most of the interview processes so far have a presentation/QBR. The QBRs I do now are effective, but super informal (no slides).
Do most companies require this component now? If not, which companies don’t? Also, any tips for being successful at these with only casual experience?
