I just got offered a job with a firm that has billable hour requirements. I’ve never had had billable hours. Is is appropriate to ask what the billable requirements are? I have a good idea from someone I know who works in a different department but want to confirm what they told me. They also provided vacation time of 3-5 weeks. I’m assuming that’s work weeks, but is that appropriate to ask for clarification? I don’t want them to think that’s all I care about, but these are important to me.

Any recommendations on types of tech jobs for someone with a finance background? (3yrs experience) I have been hearing a lot about how great the compensation, WLB, and benefits are. I am based in Los Angeles and would like to branch out to different industries.

I am overweight but because of how it’s distributed, it just makes me look curvy or hourglass. Being overweight has impacted my health. I find that I’m tired more and I sweat more, too. I ended up getting GIRD which my PC says could be the weight. I’ve moved down south and everyone at work is bigger or looks bigger than me and I can still look good dressed up. This impacts my motivation to do something about it because I can sort of coast for a bit. How do I motivate myself to get healthy?
