Hello Fishes. I am going to join novartis on 22nd of this month. I am in hyderabad and currently staying in their provided accommodation. It includes complimentary breakfast and lunch/dinner. I wanted to know if anyone has availed these services and if the third meal and laundry can be reimbursed on bill submission or not? Or we can have only 2 meals.Also, do we need actual receipts and broker PAN to claim brokerage? My induction is still 14 days away and HR is not confirming about it. Novartis

3rd meal as well as laundry will also get reimbursed. For brokerage you need PAN of broker as well as receipts.
Laundry is definitely included, all meals are included upon furnishing the bills. Breakfast and dinner is already included with the stay, so dont eat those meals outside. Lunch either order from Hotel or wherever and furnish the bills.

Everything can be reimbursed if you have proper bills, in my case I had my 3rd meal from swiggy/ Zomato upon producing the bills they have reimbursed it
And yes, you need the actual receipt with broker PAN to get brokerage reimbursed, which is a maximum of 1 month's rent. Hyderabad didn't even have the concept of brokers. It's a fairly new concept. If you do go with brokers, they will be happy if you give half month's rent as commission. That's what I did in 2019, then moved to my home town in 2021 and just now, when i moved back, i just managed to find an apartment without a broker through a lead shared by a colleague in our team's whatsapp group.

Correct. I think laundry was the only thing I paid for and got reimbursed. All the room service food i ordered, they made me sign slips but i guess didn't pay then and there. I do remeber they had a sheaf of papers during checkout with all of my bills which they said they will send to Novartis. The one things I can confirm is that we had 3 free meals a day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner though one receptionist tried to tell me only 2 were free when i checked in. I asked around, learnt it was not so and had all 3 like everyone else every day

Can we also take one dependant person with us and all the expenses for us both be reimbursed.
Varies for different bands, at band 5 when I joined My parents and wife also accompanied me. I think for bands 6 and 7, only the employee and spouse or either just the employee can be accomodated.

It's fixed unless you have an approval from your manager or line function
It’s been 2 years I am working with Novartis . I availed my relocation benefit recently- it means I can not leave the company for another 1 year ?
