What is going on at Deloitte CyberSecurity Practice? The hiring process was so riddled with mistakes I turned them down. I’ve got 3 POS HP laptops sitting here, a sign on bonus 6 weeks before I start, a bill for over payment, 3 coaches, and a 2 month background check that never concluded. How’s life on the inside? I imagine it’s very short staffed and riddled with problems. Fair assumption?

I had an interview for an in-house position this week. The recruiter asked me how much I was making, I said $X on the spot. She almost gasped and the interview ended quickly. Is this common? I thought by now this would be semi-public information or you’d at least have a ballpark idea before reaching out to people.

I think I bombed a case interview with Chartis for an associate consultant position. The case was in excel and required me to manipulate the data via share screen with the interviewer. I couldn’t get some functions to work and was struggling to go through the 16 page PDF of data. I had several answers correct but needed to walk through the remaining questions with some guidance. My other 3 case interviews went well and I had great conversation with the partner for behavioral interview. Thoughts?

So Altman clearly beats out MBB in some sectors and is trying to position themselves as an MBB or perhaps tier 2 equivalent, but they’re just not matching the salaries. Why were Analyst salaries only raised to $95K when my friends at big firms (not just tier 2 but also MBB) will be making $100-120k as second years?
