[query] Is it a good idea to say a firm No due to medical reasons to a new night shift project I'm hired in?Accenture
I recently got a night shift project (2 days ago) that requires me to work from 10:30pm till 7:30am
I'm not comfortable with these timings and I'm thinking to ask my manager to put me on Bench (Due to medical reasons that involve mental health)
Is it a nice idea to say a firm No to a new project I'm hardlocked into, due to night shifts?

Hi All,
Persistent Systems is giving 10% variable on gross annual CTC. HR says you would receive minimum 70% of variable pay every month and remaining 30% will credited once a year at the end.
Does anyone has idea on this? Can I believe this and include 70% variable in my take home

Pick either and you still face problem if you are not investing in continuous learning and skill upgrade.
Cross skill is really important. Doesn't mean master everything.
But keep your hands dipped in multiple pies and you shall taste it all well.

You can lose your job either in product or service firm. Join a firm with good fundamentals and history and have confidence on your skills. If you good and worth the salary you charging, no conpany will fire you and even if you fired, easily you can get a new job

Yes.. but better we be ready.keeps min 6 months salary as emergency deposit
There are only 2 aspects you need to keep in mind to ensure you’re not a victim of lay-offs.
1. Upgrade your skills and become damn good at your job.
2. Look for companies which typically don’t have a significant history of layoffs.
If you’re very clear on DevOps, don’t get into support roles. You’re an SDE so the transition to DevOps will be smooth. But going to support and back will be tricky and risky.
And AFA recession is concerned, mate.. that’s out of our control. I’d say try to get into DevOps in your own org or get into an org which offers that role.
Worst case, wait it out. There are plenty of openings in DevOps.

I guess service based companies which deals with government and the product based companies which won't effected due to large establishment. Avoid startups during these days unless you think that startup can survive the worst due to it's business model

Be the best at what you do, even if the firm decides to fire their 50% workforce (which is highly unlikely), you just need to be above average. I don't think it's that hard (that's why she said 🤣)
Join TCS or Infosys.
How sure yoy are? As HCL have recently fired a whole team once they lost the microsoft project.
When someone gets the first place there is someone who will get the second place and the chain continues till the bottom of the ladder, so I guess someone has to take the toll, it's the reality, they can't retain all of them 🌚

There is a raise after the dip even if recession hits ,,I'm excited after a year or two things will go rapidly where can get in the middle of it and become something what we are not so far ,,this is what happened during covid too ,,,couple of years after things are well for IT ,,so keep a corpus for two years to.manage ,we can get through it ,,rather than thinking through it ,this is the.mindset i got now !
