Hey need some quick advice. My company is trying to play hardball. I got a 26k retention bonus. Half of which was paid out. I had a verbal promise to increase my salary from 80k to 100k. Now they're saying pay us back the 26k and we'll increase it to 100k otherwise only take a 90k increase.

Why people are worried about the take home salary? There are a lot of such questions even from experienced people.

Hi all! I recently received an internship offer doing data science/statistics with the Peace Corps. I’m extremely interested in the applications of data science and statistics within the public policy and research sects and this would be a good professional opportunity for me. However, I am quite aware of how problematic the Peace Corps is (i.e. white saviorism). Is it better to gain professional experience in a place I don’t support or reject the offer?
