I have joined recently to cognizant ( Lateral Hiring ) . They put me in bench after 2 weeks from the current project .

Kindly guide me what i should do now to get a new project ? Is there any poral in 1C where i can find out opportunities as per my skillset ?

I am scared little bit with the thought that bench employees may be ask to leave after 1 month.

I gave interview in Cognizant today. HR have not share JD. After joining interview I got to know about Job profile it was for DevOps Engineer and I was not aware of it. The interviewer asked me questions related to Py, Django, svn, git. (Questions were project centric like how u have developed tool -logic). And finally said I should start preparing for basic DevOps concept. (mentioned 2 times)
What should I expect as result?

Working at a startup, 1st role in data, 70k. Within 6 mo I became primary BI analyst working on projects across all departments. Manager thought I deserved a salary increase, director told her his hands were tied because I hadn't reached 1 year. 1 year mark(aug) I had very positive performance review, director recommended salary increase, CTO said wait for finalized budgets EOY. 1st meeting of the year was told fundraising, salary raises would be determined by EOM, now saying April WTF? Advice?

I have an offer from Oracle. The designation mentioned in offer letter is "Member Technical Staff." In the email it was also mentioned as "Senior Software Developer". But I interviewed for Senior Automation QA. Does my job role match my designation?

I asked the recruiter and he said Senior Automation QA and Senior Software Developer are given the same designation. I'm worried if my work will be different from what I am experienced in due to the designation. Can anyone clarify?

Connected with Deployer, Coach and RL many times they say I should wait and need not worry whenever requirement will come they will inform me. I have been on bench for 2+ months now.

Any suggestions on how to get an adjunct teaching role at a university. Don't need money or prestige. I enjoy teaching and gives me something to do when I retire in ~10 yrs. Many colleagues who do this are big alumni donors. My Alma mater is too far away to be practical option. I'm an expert in a very in demand field - get quoted in articles all the time but have not been able to connect with anyone in academia.

Cognizant gave me offer letter based on my relevant experience of 41 months, however when I filled the BGV, the total experience came out to be 57 months. I wrote to HRs but no response from them.

2.5 YOE, 6.2 LPA Mainframe, recently got an offer from TCS for Mainframe Developer position with 7.5Lpa. My project Director called me and willing to match the salary here in Cognizant. He said i will be eligible for yearly hike as well.

Please suggest if truly I will be eligible for yearly hike after being retained and is it good to stay overall.

P.S - TCS gave 7.5 on top of 5.1 LPA, 6.2 is what i got recently in April promotion for Associate.
