When do you look for your next role?

Joined new company new team, finally happy with the people, the vibes, environment, but I want to work on a different product and industry (been in financial services for 4 yrs).

Previously I'd look immediately if I'm unhappy, but I'm happy for the first time and not sure how to strategize this.

I applied for and was screened by HR for a Director position. It wasn't a good fit but I was passed over to another VP. I had a phone interview with that VP which went very well. He expressed interest in creating a Director level role for me based on my experience and interests. I received feedback via a 3rd-party recruiter that the company is in the process of creating a req. and will bring me on-site for another interview. Problem: They changed the level to Principal Eng. What should I do?

Copywriter with serious imposter syndrome at new job! How do senior writers up their game? Was in-house 1.5 years and underpaid in NYC. With only previous freelance experience (and nonprofit and grant writing before that) figured I had to slog through it for years. Cut to now, 6 months into a new copywriting role at huge tech company. My salary almost quintupled overnight. I think I’m doing great, but that depends on the day and who I work with (no other writers by the way).

I really like data/statistics but have no formal training in such apart from a couple of statistics classes in college. Are there any jobs where I could directly transfer into a role with data and/or statistics without getting additional education?

Hi Everyone, Started my career in government 5 years ago working in an operational role, then focussed on HR for 3 years working my way up to a middle manager role in HR as a business partner and completed my Level 7 CIPD. I don’t think HR or government is for me anymore and looking to find something new, now 24 feel I have a lot of transferable skills and knowledge but worried about private companies in other professions taking me seriously.
