Out of curiosity, when you write about your consulting role on your resume, do you just write a few general bullet points about your role and experience, or do you list out your work on specific projects?

I need career advice. I left B4 a few weeks ago for a seemingly perfect consulting position but it is not at all what it seemed. Was expecting analytical role with the great managers I interviewed with, but as it turns out I’ve been placed on a brand new team with a micromanager and my job duties are to take notes during client meetings. Help! Do I reach back out to recruiters? I miss excel

Going to an office to meet the team and see the office after being offered a position. After much thought I think it is best to stay at my current position for now. How do I go about declining an offer/ask for a day to think about it?

Currently in a full time role at an RPO but have a potential offer in house on a 6-9 month contract with strong possibility of conversion at Hubspot. Pay is $15k higher than I make now. Would it be a bad decision to take the contract / contract to hire? I don’t doubt my ability to get converted, but the entire market is seeing huge layoffs so it makes me a little nervous. Thoughts?

Boston Consulting Group I have been applying to the role of SA in healthcare however my profile is getting rejected. I have over 3 yoe and have worked with pharma industry for all the time on commercial excellence areas. What I want to understand is what sort of skill set do they look into while evaluating a resume? In the JD all they asked for was strong problem solving ability and such generic stuffs. But what I am unsure is what sort of metrics do they look into while evaluating a profile.

I’m a 2015 graduate and while in law school I did a lot of entertainment work. After law school I clerked for a bit before going in-house to do corporate work (2 years) and I’ve been at a firm doing corporate work since 5/2018. I’m updating my resume for an entertainment role. Any suggestions? Can my resume spill over onto a second page now?

I am noticing that McKinsey is increasingly recruiting at non-elite schools (very roughly speaking not top 15 schools). At my old undergrad, 5 years ago the most competitive firm to show up was EY. This year McKinsey took 4 non-internship full hires. Why is McKinsey going “down market” for recruiting? Are elite school kids losing interest in consulting so McK has to cast a wider net? Or is McK seeking a wider pool for other reasons? I advise undergrads on consulting so want to be best informed.

I don’t hate my role at AFS, I just want to leave to get more experience and money. I don’t think it makes sense to leave for anything less than 97K. Should I follow through with the interview for this role? Is there a chance Deloitte GPS would offer 97K-100K for the consultant level? This is for a Human Capital Consultant role btw
