Are recruiters worth more than L&D specialists? We have a new recuiter that transferred in from another dept. & is already making more than me and has a higher comp range. We have same tenure & they have NO prev. recuiting experience. I should also add I have been helping cover recuiting in interim. I also help cover HR tasks, have my SHRM, 5 years of HR exp., and 2 degrees. Is the "value" for recruiters more than L&D? I feel a little taken advantage of, but want to know if I'm off base here.

I work in insurance but I am trying to pivot into tech sales. I am having trouble explaining my metrics during interviews. For us, our KPI is based on a quota issued to each state. Ex Ma being 143%. Throughout Ma, we have multiple offices but my office, in particular, is currently at 260% of quota. I have brought in 60,000 of sales for our team. She has 2yrs exp as assistant manager in kvb bank and 4hrs carrier gap ( upsc preparation) . Now completed MBA in banking & Finance 2022 passed out in SRM univ Chennai.

Due to carrier gap and age factor, she is not getting a chance to prove her in interview.
