Hello Fishes.
So I am thinking of starting with CFA. Quick background summary. 29 yrs age, Engineer, MBA - Mktg and working in tech consulting. Do you think it is worth it to do a CFA at this point. Will it open more doors in the future. If anyone had a similar career journey please reply. I want to know where to start.

Lots of accounting in CFA. At least when I took level 1 a decade ago.

Still a lot of accounting, especially L2.

Following.

I’ve been trying to connect with FAs on here as well and get an idea of the trials they face as internal FAs. I know it takes years to build your client list and the firm typically likes to keep them if you decide to leave.

What opportunuties do you want to pursue with the CFA in hand?

From what I’ve read online, CFA isn’t useful for IB

I’m 2 weeks into an account strategy associate job at Google. I’m realizing I don’t want to be in this job long term but everything but the role is great. Should I jump? I’m just scared I’ll be stuck in account management forever but everything about G is great sans role. Also terrified of blacklist

Hi guys,

I switched 20 days back to Optum. I have 7 years of experience working as a full stack Engineer, who is passionate working on both front end and back end on latest technologies. But my project is working only on back end with 10 years old tech stack. There is no front end work at all. What should I do?
I don't like working here at all, but I am not sure whether moving out again in a month will give bad Impression on my resume. Hence please give me advice on this situation

I need some advice please. I made it to the final round of interviews for a Product Owner position. Since I’ve been dealing with rejection for almost two years of getting into Product does anyone have any tips to ace the interview? Also my goal is PM. Do you think a move from PO to PM is obtainable? I’ve done some research and according to Marty Cagan the PO & PM should be one individual. To this end is the PO position seen as redundant? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Hey all, first time poster here and still consider myself fairly new to consulting so please be kind. Questions for past/ current Accenture folks: I noticed in some threads that SC level only applies to strategy consulting. Could Product Manager be SC level if I have my MBA or is it not even considered a Strategy role? And do they only consider you an “MBA hire” if it’s top tier MBA? Lastly, I’ve seen quite a big salary range for MBA hires. Anyone care to share the latest? TIA.

Got an offer to work at a boutique PE fund as an intern for the next few months. The role is however unpaid and the fund is new.

For some background, I’m going to be starting at a T-2 firm doing CDD for PE funds in January. Wondering if getting this kind of experience looks good when I apply to analyst roles 1-2 years out? Don’t want to work without getting paid unless the experience is valuable. Would love any perspective on this.

What other jobs would these MO / ops skills be a good fit for?
