My current job is likely to end and I am trying to pivot my career towards data science. I am currently part of the IIT Madras data science program and I am looking to intern in the same domain to understand with practical knowledge.

I spent all day on a memo that should not have taken all day just as a matter of principle (i.e., this memo will not beat me.) The memo was about damages but involved technical concepts I am unfamiliar with and requires extensive research. I called my expert, reviewed transcripts (3 volumes of one expert) and my own work product (summaries of invoices). I might just bill the 6 hours it took me to prep this one memo… (😅) just venting…

My manager consistently makes condescending remarks about my work even though I’m overworked and prioritize what is urgent. I regularly work 12-13+ hours a day but never receive any confirmation or recognition that I’m doing a good job and there is always something to criticise.
How should I approach speaking to my manager about this toxic environment?
I’m the only woman on my team and have noticed my manager does not speak to my male colleagues with the same tone

What do you do after work during the week? I feel tired after ~10-hour working so I usually just take a walk and watch Netflix but feel like I don’t do anything except work every day.

I used to think it nice to be able to leave at 5pm when you are a working parent... I was young and stupid and I apologize.

Taking some time off. Need some book recommendations. Some light interesting non-fiction. No self help or management books. Just interesting topics that won’t make me think about work.

I have joined Amdocs in January. And I am not interested in current project. Is there any platform in Amdocs where you can get learning and internal hiring through same platform?

Which data science course would you suggest?
1. Scaler Data Science
2. IIITB course and John Moore University
3. BITS Pilani DS course
4. Leave these course of PGD and go for MS altogether.

I'm looking to switch now which skills should I focus on and shape my career. I dnt want to go into complete technical role..

Hi Fishes, i have two year of experience in ML (and DL) and now am into MLOPS. After spending few months in MLOPS am feeling whether to switch back to ML profile since in MLOPS I don't know what's happening on model side, some other team is building the model and I am just deploying and monitoring it.
What's the scope of MLOPS ? Is it good to continue on MLOPs profile? What's your thoughts/suggestions on this
