Can anyone share their thoughts on Randstad Sourceright? I've been offered a role with them as a consultant and would be seconded to another business. Salary is v good and they pitch it as consulting but with the security of being a PAYE/perm employee... which sounds great but it seems almost too good to be true! Like, at the end of the 12 month secondment are they just planning to pay my wage until they get me another contract?

Advice on how to navigate a personality? I’m a junior. There’s a counsel I’m working with, and… the vibes are off. They haven’t asked for anything unreasonable and have been pretty kind to me. But I’ve observed them scolding a mid and just bombarding people with calls. I noticed that other people on my team tiptoe around this person and the tone of communications seem a lot more formal. This makes me uncomfortable as all of my deal teams have been really positive and great to work with.

I am 29F and earning 13LPA. I have been working for 4 years of which 3.5 years I had very low pay and close to 0 savings. I have been able to save 6L now.

My baby starts daycare in 2 weeks, she is 4 months old. I am starting to get concerned about Covid for her since she can’t get vaccinated yet and I’ve heard the Delta variant hits kids harder. Her daycare is taking all of the necessary steps. Are some people still keeping their kids home from daycare to reduce the risk? Or are you sending your kids and just following daycare protocol?

Any insight in calculating the buyout of a primary residence in a divorce (community property state)?In the buyout option the spouse staying is discounting the estimated closing costs (10%) from the buyout. I am encouraging the other spouse to push back as it isn’t a sale and at least lower the closing cost estimate to 5% (their share). Buyout calculation = Current FMV - Outstanding Debt - Estimated Closing Costs. Thoughts?
