Hello Folks, does anyone have ideas for getting a predominantly male/sales focused group primed/open to self-reflection and sharing within an emerging leaders cohort? The vast majority of my facilitation and coaching has been with a predominantly female population and I suspect this could go a little differently!

Get them really drunk and then ask, “so tell me about the relationship you have with your fathers.”

I think as long as you clearly establish what the goals of the session are for a long with having a male leader from their team help demonstrate the exercise, you'll be fine getting engagement.

That’s a great suggestion PM1. Unfortunately the program is sponsored by a professional association and participation is from multiple orgs so there’s no male leader from team to assist with this. I’ll have to think on who I can borrow for a cameo!

Serve food, and your number of participants will double. Organizers who fail to do so, end up with like five people.

Fellow coach here - be direct and concrete. Connect concepts to business goals. Get them connected to how these also show wider impact in their lives (but take it slower on that one).

LOL, yes, food is a good draw (and we have participant numbers), but will it get them in a self-reflective state of mind? I need to quickly get them immersed in self-reflective activity leading to open discussion. It’s my own bias but I fear I will get less depth of sharing from this group than I have had from predominantly female learners. I think I need to check my biases!

Start with a mingle where they stand up and talk about a specific topic that is important to them, and to the success of the session. What is the purpose of this session? What key outcomes are you trying to create for them?

If you don't have to present at length and can start by throwing out a few talking points, get a few people to share anecdotes (prep them in advance) and then give your closing comments, it should go fairly effortlessly for you. And DO bring snacks! Best of luck!

Hi All,

Will they consider for negotiations? What’s your thoughts? IBM

Hi all,
I had my technical round scheduled with Capgemini last week. This week I cleared the L1 interview round and HR discussion. Before releasing the offer letter they asked me to submit my documents and sent a link to appear for an AMCAT exam (English grammer and email writting) as part of hiring process . My question is based on AMCAT score is there a possibility that Capgemini would revoke my offer ? Is it an elimination round as they mentioned this a part of Capgemini hiring process?

EY PAS said that they can’t offer more than 115k for senior associate in Chicago. I find that ridiculously low since accenture t&o is offering people 140k to join as a consultant. It is from my understating that ey associate is equal to analyst and sr analyst at Accenture. Then senior associate is equal to consultant/ sr consultant. What am i missing here?
