Hi All,
Need suggestions here. Please help me out. I was interviewed with IBM and got selected. Waiting for offer letter. Meanwhile got selected in another company and got offer too. Put down my ppr. Offer from another company is way beyond than IBM almost 22% more in terms of fixed. Now I’m confused that once IBM releases their offer then should I ask them to match with my holding or not ? Will they consider for negotiations? What’s your thoughts? IBM
This group is definitely what I needed. Thanks 💕
What is the lateral hire process like?
Hello everyone,
I am Data engineer with relevant experience in Big Data and AWS cloud of 8 years and got an offer from axtria.
I read some bad things about the work life balance there, is it true? I am thinking whether to resign or not.
If yes when should I tell them that I am not interested.Axtria

I think as long as you clearly establish what the goals of the session are for a long with having a male leader from their team help demonstrate the exercise, you'll be fine getting engagement.
That’s a great suggestion PM1. Unfortunately the program is sponsored by a professional association and participation is from multiple orgs so there’s no male leader from team to assist with this. I’ll have to think on who I can borrow for a cameo!
Are you using a personality assessment tool to uncover self awareness around the competencies? I have used articles around a specific competency, example: HBR, on Leadership Effectiveness, activity: they pre-read the article, provide 2-4 questions they come prepared to discuss in the meeting.

Serve food, and your number of participants will double. Organizers who fail to do so, end up with like five people.

LOL, yes, food is a good draw (and we have participant numbers), but will it get them in a self-reflective state of mind? I need to quickly get them immersed in self-reflective activity leading to open discussion. It’s my own bias but I fear I will get less depth of sharing from this group than I have had from predominantly female learners. I think I need to check my biases!
Start with a mingle where they stand up and talk about a specific topic that is important to them, and to the success of the session. What is the purpose of this session? What key outcomes are you trying to create for them?
If you don't have to present at length and can start by throwing out a few talking points, get a few people to share anecdotes (prep them in advance) and then give your closing comments, it should go fairly effortlessly for you. And DO bring snacks! Best of luck!
