Fixed CTC offered: 28 LPA + 10% Variable
Rank offered: 42, Grade 3

How is the WLB in EY gds, bangalore and is it project specific?
How is the avg hike trend since past 5 years in gds?

Any experienced GDS folks here to address this?

I have put down the papers from infosys and my LWD is near . I have to choose between DXC with 22 LPA and TCS with 18 LPA . I am a mainframe developer with 11 years of experience.
I have asked TCS to revise the salary but that seems unlikely that they will match the difference.

Will I ruin my career if I let my boss know that my coworker in a group project hasn't been doing his assigned work? Just started this new job and the cowork started a few months before me. I attended more than 50 interviews in my whole career, and today I attended one of the worst interview ever. It was a telephonic interview. From the beginning his voice was breaking and the call had been dropped 2 times.I even hear the sound of vehicles on his background. When I told him, his voice was breaking, he behaved rudely.
In my mind I was like when this interview will stop.

I'm interning at a rx firm and didn't really know a whole lot coming in and had major imposter syndrome. The firm I'm at has really poor training to interns and kind of just expect you to learn as you go. I'm scared my first half work was judged poorly and now near the end of the internship I've turned it around a little as I've learned the process. Do y'all have any advice?

Looking for some insight/curious to hear how others would handle this situation:

I have an offer I want to accept; I was trying to negotiate for a signing bonus… but they’re not budging.

The issue is, the start date is in a month and I’m up for a promotion in a week at my current company. I would like to leave before I get promoted, I think it would be pretty low of me to accept and promptly quit.

Not the new employer’s problem? Or can/should I try to leverage this?

I think since I became a real estate agent my friends are avoiding me... it's like they think I see them as "prospects" rather than my pals. Hard to get out of salesman mode at the end of the day though.

I am an IT manager at a small manufacturing company that is in the commercial aerospace and DOD manufacturing space. I manage everything IT and have one other person and an intern currently for around 250 employees. I have been there for just 15 years and it’s stressful. I don’t feel like I am paid enough as now I have NIST 800-171 and CMMC to deal with as well. I am paid with bonus at $120k a year. I have started looking elsewhere because I am just not happy anymore and underpaid for what I do.

I got a 110% offer from EY GDS. In the offer letter it is said I will be on a probationary period for first 6 months. I have got 4 other offers, but none of those companies mentioned about serving probabtion period. Is this quite normal in Big4 companies? Do EY fire/terminate employee during Probation period? Do they extend probabtion period? Your help will be very kuch appreciated.

I joined EY GDS on august 2nd 2021 as advanced analyst for US taxation. I don’t have enough hours but I have over all 3 years of experience (2.7 Deloitte and Ey - August 2021 till now) in US tax and very good feedback untill now. Is there a possibility to get senior promotion this year?
If over all hours is the only main criteria then I would not get this year?

Hello fishes, I have joined EY GDS on June and allocated to a project. But the project is not started yet because of pending approval from client side. So I am sitting idle for 2 months. Since I am on probation for 6 months, does this have any impact on it. Do I need to inform this to anyone or ask for alternate project/task?. I had interaction with my counsellor only once till now and he is it aware of what I am doing.

Do i need to wear formals for the live new hire orientation ? Or business casuals is fine ?
