Can you reffer me at your company. Tech stack .net yoe 9.5I m serving notice period and 45 days remain.

I'm a young, but pretty good UX Web Designer. I just picked up a freelance gig to design the company logo, brand, website, and product. When they asked me how much I charge I just said $45 an hour. I think I went way under what I should have.

What should I do?

Would anyone be interested in getting help with interview prep? I know so many people that struggle with interviewing. I have heard a number of people mention that they have ADHD (which I do as well) and that has caused them a lot of difficulty in interviews which made me wonder if that is something that would be helpful and useful to people. I would love some insights and feedback!

I just recently joined a team. The organization's stand is they don't care where we work from. Most people work from office once/twice a week and I generally go once a week.

While I was recruited I was told my role doesn't require me to be in office. I now have a new manager (diff from the one who interviewed me) and he indirectly keeps pointing out that I am not in office often like "oh anyway you are in only on Thursdays" etc on multiple instances.

How do I handle this?

I'm tired of being told to prepare for easy to medium level leetcode problems and getting straight up DIFFICULT ones in interviews. I guess I just have to expect difficult from now on no matter what...these aren't even FAANG companies.

Team building with everyone remote is HARD. Need your feedback.

Hi Fishies! (Is that what we are? I’m going with it)

I just came across a
Google Research and Insights role that got me SUPER excited and I was about to apply when I had the idea of seeing if anyone would be willing to give me a referral. I understand (and respect) that most of you Googlers on here feel that a referral is only useful if you know the person but I would be happy to jump on the phone to give you some info about me. It would mean so much! 4 YOE at a major audio steaming service

I have a mortgage that I would like to pay off ASAP ($250k @ 6% interest). My lender allows me to recast the mortgage if I am at least $5k ahead in my principal payments. I am about $10k ahead now. The mortgage recast fee is $250. If I recast now and continue paying the same amount, am I correct that it will help me pay off the loan faster than if I just keep making the same payments?

Respectfully, if you don't know the difference between a recast and a refi please don't respond 😅

I didn't understand when people said this job makes them physically sick until it started happening to me this year. What a difference the people you work with make!

One of our clients took our idea and basically sublet it to different brands without our knowledge. Technically speaking, there are no rules against this, but it still feels like an icky thing to do. Thoughts?
